Cathode Stripping Machine
A cathode stripping machine (CSM) is a specialized piece of equipment used primarily in the electrorefining and electrowinning processes for extracting and refining metals such as copper, zinc, cobalt, nickel and etc.. These cathode stripping stations play a crucial role in separating pure metal cathodes from the starter sheets or mother plates after the electrolysis process is complete.

Automation Level:
- Customers care whether the machine is manually operated or automated. This affects efficiency, labor costs, and operational ease.
Capacity:
- cathode plates per cell indicate the machine’s capacity per unit of operation.
- total cells indicate the overall capacity of the machine.
Spacing and Handling:
- spacing between cathodes affects how efficiently the machine can handle multiple cathodes simultaneously
- number of cathodes lifted at a time influences operational speed and efficiency
Additional Requirements:
- whether the machine includes a feature for cathode washing, which affects operational cleanliness and maintenance
- whether a stacking machine is needed, although in this case, it’s noted as not required
