Core Components
The Anode Casting Wheel Machine is mainly composed of the following core modules:
- Rotating System: Includes guide rails, rollers, drive motor and transmission mechanism, enabling stable cyclic movement of the moulds.
- Main Beam: The heavy-duty load-bearing structure supporting the entire casting wheel, ensuring rigidity and operational stability.
- Moulds: Customized precision moulds for forming anode plates, with consistent dimensions to guarantee uniform anode quality.
- Spray Cooling System: Provides uniform water spray cooling from top to bottom of the anode, accelerating solidification and shaping.
- Hydraulic Ejection System: Assists in separating solidified anodes from the mould, reducing mechanical stress and mould wear.
- Electronic Weighing Device: Accurately controls molten copper pouring volume to ensure consistent anode plate thickness.
- Casting Ladle: Receives molten copper from the anode furnace and regulates flow rate for stable pouring.
- Anode Lifting & Discharging Device: Adsorbs and lifts cast anodes safely, transferring them to storage tanks.
Casting Process Flow
- Casting Stage
Molten copper flows continuously from the anode furnace into the casting mould through a fixed launder. By adjusting the rotation angle of the tilting furnace, the pouring volume of molten copper is precisely controlled to match the thickness of the anode mould. After one pouring cycle is completed, the casting wheel rotates to move the next mould to the pouring position, while the intermediate ladle refills the casting ladle, forming a continuous and repeatable casting cycle.
- Spray Cooling Stage
After pouring, the mould with the molten copper enters the cooling zone. The anode is cooled uniformly from top to bottom by a water spray system, which accelerates the solidification of the copper and ensures the structural integrity and surface quality of the anode plate.
- Anode Collection & Handling Stage
Once cooling is finished, the anode assembly reaches the unloading position. The operator pushes the anode lug end upward to separate it from the mould, and the unloading device then adsorbs both sides of the anode plate and lifts the anode assembly to the storage tank. A bundle of anode assemblies is collected via a conveyor chain, and can be lifted by a bridge crane after loading is completed. During pre-unloading and ejection, the mould position is fixed by an electric hydraulic cylinder locking device, effectively avoiding additional stress on the wheel structure.
- Continuous & Stable Operation: Cyclic casting process ensures uninterrupted production, improving overall efficiency.
- Precise Quality Control: Electronic weighing and mould positioning guarantee consistent anode thickness and dimensions.
- Efficient Cooling: Spray cooling system accelerates solidification, reducing cycle time and improving productivity.
- Safe & Reliable Discharging: Hydraulic ejection and locking device protect the equipment structure and ensure safe handling of anodes.
- Customizable Design: Moulds and components can be customized to match different anode specifications and production capacities.
This Anode Casting Wheel Machine is widely used in copper smelters and electrolytic refineries for the continuous production of copper anode plates, providing a stable and efficient solution for the front-end process of copper electrolytic refining.
