How Is a Cathode Stripping Machine Secured and Packed for Export?

Packing large-scale industrial equipment such as a Cathode-Stripping Machine (CSM) requires more than just placing it in a crate. To ensure safety during long-distance transportation, every step — from loading to securing — must follow strict mechanical and safety standards. At PRS, we treat packaging as an extension of quality assurance. This blog showcases how our stripping machines are professionally packed and fixed for export.

1. Component Preparation and Wrapping

The cathode-stripping machine is divided into 6 individual units for packing. Each machine unit — including stripping stations, conveyors, rotating arms, and structural frames — is first cleaned, checked, and wrapped:

  • Key surfaces are covered with anti-rust film
  • Sensitive parts are cushioned with shock-absorbing materials
  • Labels are added to ensure correct identification at the site

This preparation ensures components are moisture-proof and ready for safe packing.

2. Securing with Steel Frame Structure

PRS uses open steel frame packaging specifically designed for large industrial machinery. This method allows for excellent strength and clear visibility of the contents.

Each machine base is bolted securely to welded mounting plates within the steel frame. This ensures:

  • No shifting or sliding during transport
  • Resistance to humidity and physical pressure
  • Easy forklift and crane handling
  • Quicker inspection at customs or on-site

This design also eliminates the risk of crate deformation during sea freight or extreme climate exposure.

3. Final Packing and Labelingent

Once all parts are secured:

  • The steel frames are covered with heavy-duty tarpaulin to protect against dust, rain, and moisture during transportation and outdoor storage
  • Lifting points, crate numbers, and product tags are clearly marked
  • A packing list is attached externally for easy unloading and checking

This structured packaging speeds up delivery, inspection, and unpacking at the project site.

4. Export-Ready for Global Projects

PRS’s packing process meets international shipping standards, including:

  • Moisture-proof protection
  • Robust structure for long-haul transport
  • Efficient container loading and stacking

Whether delivered to Africa, South America, or Southeast Asia, our equipment is packaged to ensure it arrives safely, ready for commissioning.

Conclusion

At PRS, we believe reliable packaging is part of reliable delivery. With steel-frame structured packing, we protect our equipment and our client’s investment — minimizing shipping risks and ensuring faster project deployment.
