Copper Anode Preparation Machine
The PRS Anode Preparation Machine is an integrated and automated system designed for copper refining tankhouses.
It performs a full range of anode preparation operations, including anode receiving, alignment, flattening, ear bottom milling, turning, lifting and arranged output, ensuring consistent anode geometry and reliable performance before electrorefining.

How Anode Preparation Machine Works
1.Equipment Structure
The Anode Preparation Machine is mainly composed of Anode Receiving Conveyor, Anode Lifting and Transfer Device, Anode Plate Input Turning Device, Step Transfer Device, Horizontal Press, Anode Lug Bottom Milling Device, Anode Plate Output Turning Device, Anode Plate Lifting Device, Anode Plate Output Conveyor, etc.
2. APM Equipment Process Flow
-
Anode plates are placed onto the Anode Plate Receiving Conveyor by forklift.
-
Plates are aligned and transferred to the Lifting Device for single-plate lifting.
-
The Transfer Trolley clamps and moves the anode to the Input Turning Device.
-
The anode is rotated 90° and placed onto the Step Transfer Device.
-
The step device transfers the anode to the Horizontal Press Station.
-
Full-plate pressing removes surface bulges, burrs and deformation.
-
The anode is transferred to the Ear Bottom Milling Station for precise ear machining.
-
After milling, the anode is flipped, lifted and transferred to the Output Conveyor.
-
Anodes are arranged automatically and lifted by crane for tankhouse loading.
3. Equipment Unit Description
Anode Plate Receiving Conveyor
- Composed of plate receiving device, alignment device and plate receiving chain.
Lifting and Transfer Device
- When the anode plate reaches the front end of the plate receiving chain, the conveyor chain stops rotating. The lifting device starts to hold the anode plate and lift it to the plate taking position of the transfer device.
Anode Input Turning Device
- Including fixed bearing seat, turning shaft and oil cylinder.
- When the transfer device transfers the anode plate to the material receiving position, the turning device rotates 90 degrees to place the anode plate horizontally on the Step Transfer Device.
Step Transfer Device
- Mainly composed of driving device, moving device (including electric cylinder, composite roller bearing, sliding assembly, etc.), upper and lower clamping devices, frame, etc.
Horizontal Press
- Main components: bottom support plate, horizontal base, pressing block (including wear plate), top support plate, column/guide rod, pressing plate oil cylinder, etc.
- Material selection: Frame and upper/lower fixing plates (carbon steel structure); pressing block and guide column (45# or 40Cr steel); pressing plate (alloy steel).
Anode Plate Ear Bottom Milling Device
- Milling power device (including motor, milling cutter, etc.), power head traveling/moving device (including oil cylinder, guide rod, linear guide rail), anode plate horizontal clamping device, frame, etc.
Anode Output Turning and Lifting Device
- Main components: turning hook plate device, lifting slope conveyor, plate receiving device, motor driving device and frame.
Anode Plate Lifting + Horizontal Output Conveyor
- Structure: frame, head wheel device, tail wheel device, tensioning device, driving device, direction changing device, track, plate arranging frame, etc.
Hydraulic System
- Core components: hydraulic station, hydraulic valve group, pipelines and accessories, etc.
