Anode Scrap Washing Machine for Copper Electrolysis

The Anode Scrap Washing Machine is a core supporting equipment for copper electrolysis workshops, specifically designed to process residual anode plates after electrolysis. It integrates 5 key functions—automatic receiving, precision conveying, multi-directional spray cleaning, intelligent stacking, and cross-packaging—into one automated production line.

1. Functional of the Anode Scrap Washing Machine

The anode scrapwashing machine is a special-purpose equipment for the traditional electrolytic process of electrode plates. It is an automated production line integrating mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical control systems, mainly responsible for washing, transporting, stacking and packaging residual anode plates after electrolysis.

The anode scrap washing machine is installed in the electrolysis workshop. Its main function is to receive residual anode plates lifted out of electrolytic cells by overhead cranes, space the plates to a specified distance and feed them into the washing chamber for washing. After washing, the plates are gathered, stacked into piles on a rotating table by a tilting device, packaged, then transferred to the end of the line via an output chain and finally removed by a forklift.

2. Process Flow

  • Residual Anode Receiving: Overhead cranes lift full-tank residual anodes onto the Plate Receiving Conveyor Chain, which transports plates to the pushing mechanism (motor-driven, no manual assistance).
  • Conveying & Spacing Adjustment:The servo-controlled Rotating Arm grabs plates from the receiving chain and adjusts their spacing to 400mm, ensuring no overlap during cleaning.
  • Multi-directional Spray Cleaning: The Washing Conveyor Chain feeds plates into the 4-meter washing chamber. 60°/45° fan nozzles (upper/lower/left/right) spray water to remove electrolyte residues; integrated demisters reduce acid mist, and a drying device eliminates surface moisture.
  • Gripping, Gathering & Turning: The Gripping and Gathering Device collects cleaned plates, then transfers them to the Plate Turning Device—a gantry-type structure with 550mm-stroke cylinders that can turn 3 plates at once.
  • 180° Cross Stacking: The Stacking Lifting Device rises to receive plates; its rotary disc rotates 180° and lowers slightly to stack the next group. Stacking stops when the device reaches the set number of plates (height ≤600mm).
  • Automatic Packaging & Output: The Packing Mechanism cross-packages the stacked plates, then the Output Conveyor Chain conveys them to the end of the line—finally, a forklift removes them for subsequent processing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Can the processing capacity of the machine be adjusted?

A: The standard capacity is 350 plates per hour, which can be adjusted within ±10% according to your workshop’s actual electrolysis line throughput. Adjustments are made via the PLC control system (no major hardware modifications required).

A: Yes. Key components in contact with liquids (washing chains, sprockets, liquid-receiving pans, and chamber linings) are made of 316L stainless steel—a material with excellent corrosion resistance to dilute sulfuric acid (common in electrolysis). The frame of the stacking device uses 321L stainless steel for further durability.

A: The PLC control system comes with a Chinese-English bilingual interface as standard. Additional languages (e.g., Russian, Spanish) can be customized upon request to match your team’s needs.
