PRS-3000 Flocculant Dosing System
PRS-3000 flocculant dosing system delivers continuous PAM preparation and controlled feeding for copper SX-EW plants and mineral processing operations.
Overview
The PRS-3000 is a skid-mounted, automated system for continuous preparation and dosing of polyacrylamide (PAM) flocculant, intended for use in copper hydrometallurgical and mineral processing facilities. It integrates powder feeding, mixing, maturation, and solution dosing into a single unit to support consistent flocculant performance in solid-liquid separation processes.
Working Principle
The system operates in three sequential stages, as illustrated in the process flow diagram below:
- Feeding & Preparation: PAM powder is delivered via a vacuum feeder to the preparation tank. The feeding screw adjusts dosing rates between 0–7.33 kg/h via variable frequency control, matched to inlet water flow measured by an electromagnetic flowmeter. The system automatically adjusts flocculant concentration to maintain target levels.
- Maturation & Mixing: The solution flows to the maturation tank, where three 0.75kW agitators ensure uniform dissolution and activation of the polymer.
- Storage & Dosing: Prepared solution moves to the storage tank, then is fed to the process via two variable-frequency dosing pumps, delivering flow rates of 0.16m³/h and 2.19m³/h at 6bar pressure.
